HOPS

Hops are the cone-shaped flowers of the Humulus lupulus plant. They grow up to 6 meters tall in a year, and the tiny yellow pods inside the hop cones of the female flower provide the essential oils and resins responsible for the aroma, flavours and bitterness of a beer. Hops are grown worldwide, but most come from Germany, Canada and the United States.

Barley is a prominent cereal grain grown in temperate climates. A member of the grass family, the malted grain of barley provides the basis for beer making. During the malting process, the valuable parts of the grains are awakened to produce the beer’s colour, flavour, and mouth feel.

WATER

Water is used in every part of the beer-making process and can impact how beer is enjoyed. Beer is made up of over 90% of water. It goes through several filtration processes to remove things like fluoride and chlorine and prevent them from interfering with the flavour of the beer.
